Happy building everyone! Minor Spoiler Warning! The First Order battlepack is a very good, but not great, battlepack. It's awesome to get a First Order battlepack, as I think pretty much everyone wants to recreate Hux's speech scene on Starkiller Base.

However, I feel as though we needed at least one more regular First Order stormtrooper. I could really careless about the First Order technician and First order crew. Just give us four First Order stormtroopers, LEGO.

Three of the regular troopers and one of the artillery trooper. Simple as that. However, despite me not liking some of the minifigure choices for this set, I must say, LEGO got all of these figures spot on. They are all very movie accurate, bottom line. I just love how LEGO has progressed with its minifigs.

The stormtroopers in the earlier days of LEGO Star Wars don't even compare to these new Force Awakens stormtroopers. Now, on to the vehicle. I really don't like this vehicle. While it is well built, I feel as though it looks very out of place.

Comparing it to the Resistance speeder that you get in the Resistance battlepack, it is absolutely no contest. It was also never seen in the movie, or at least I don't think it was, so it loses a bit of credibility in the accuracy department. Nevertheless, I feel as though this set is very much worth buying! The best thing about this set is the Lego mini figures- this is the first time we have got some of the new first order storm troopers in a cheaper and more accessible set- although, all the characters included are different meaning building armies might be trickier. The cannon build is simple but looks better in build than shown on the box.

The inclusion of the stud shooters makes for good playability although I personally would have been fine with regular blasters. Overall good set, and the storm troopers look excellent! I'll start by saying that for the target audience (children), this is a good battle pack. I cant really say anything about the set because its so basic, but that doesn't matter because the goal of a battle pack isn't to provide a extremely interesting build.

Parents, if you buy this along with an opposing battle pack, I can only imagine your child will have a blast. Kids love minifigures, and having 8 to fight against each other is very fun, plus you get a little build to go with each side. Outstanding value, too, even in Canada where battle packs are 16 dollars, its still a good deal. I value minifigures at around 4 dollars each, so you're basically getting 80-120 pieces for free (depending on the battle pack). So in conclusion, this is great for kids. However, for older fans of LEGO, this set is a little disappointing. Why, you ask?

The problem is the minifigure selection. LEGO, please know this. Older fans of LEGO and even some kids buy battle packs to build armies, whether it be Stormtrooper or Rebel armies, and because of that, we want Rebels and Stormtroopers!

You only give us 2 in this set. If I were to make this set, I would change the minifigures, and instead include 2 regular Stormtroopers, 1 Stormtrooper commander and 1 Heavy Trooper. If the set came with those minifigures, this would be a 5 star set. Overall, I'm happy with this battle pack. It's not quite what I was hoping for, but it'll do.The minifigures are excellently done; the molds are as good as they've ever been, and the printing is great.

The problem is the selection – it would have made a lot more sense to include three stormtroopers and one officer, as opposed to an engineer. Especially since the adjacent Resistance Troopers Battle Pack follows said format: three troopers and an officer.Regardless, it's true that it will be far easier to get your hands on an engineer, and if you already own Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle or the First Order Transport, you already have a few generic stormtroopers. So it evens itself out.(It's also worth noting that this is the first set to include a stormtrooper in tactical gear, which is a definite plus. But it's disappointing that he doesn't include a heavy canon, as seen in the movie.)Minifigures aside, the build itself is what's really disappointing. It's meant to be one of the turrets on Starkiller Base, which is fine, but the problem is that it's 1/10th the size it's supposed to be.

It would have been better to simply make up a vehicle, imo, as this structure is really quite useless and is better used for spare parts.I am, however, biased against turret sets, so realize what angle I'm coming from. If you like those, this set will probably catch your fancy, as it's a nice enough-looking model. And it does rotate and shoot a single stud, which is cool.if you're into that sort of thingLike all other battle packs, this set is $3 more than it should be, imo. If you add tax, that extra $10 you'll be spending to get only TWO of these is a real deterrent, and given the minifigure selection, you probably WILL want to get (at least) two.Ultimately, this is the only option currently available for getting First Order minifigures in a cheap set, so I have to recommend it only for that reason. Is it disappointing? But it gets the job done, so I can only complain so much.
